International
God calls MacPherson Presbyterian Church to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, to make disciples,
and to be His witness. Where do you fit in His witness and work? Check these descriptions
of the mission work at MacPherson to see where Jesus might be calling you
to be His hands and feet in the world!
Operation Christmas Child
Each fall, MacPherson members pack shoeboxes filled with gifts to be donated to children in need through Operation Christmas Child. Then in late November, the church sends a team to Charlotte, N.C., to assist at the regional Collection Center for Operation Christmas Child. Russia Mission Team
Since 1999, MacPherson has partnered with Transfiguration Baptist Church in Oryol, Russia to share the Gospel good news and support their local mission outreach. More than a partnership, this “twinning” of the two churches has given MacPherson the opportunity to send a team of youth and adults to Russia each summer to support Transfiguration in a wide variety of ways. MacPherson members participate with and support their summer camp for youth, assist with construction at the church and camp and actively take part in worship services. This team is organized in January each year (have your passport ready) and departs in early July. Click here to get more information
Every May, MacPherson holds a special Russia Mission Fellowship Dinner and Dessert Auction to raise funds in support of the annual Mission Trip and our partnership with Transfiguration Baptist Church. The 2016 Auction was a great success raising a significant amount of money for this work through a spirited dessert auction.
